Joshua Dvorkin has a Master of Psychology and is a Registered Psychotherapist under supervised practice. Joshua has certifications in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and is currently becoming a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP 1 & 2). He is also trained in other therapies. Joshua is currently a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists, the Canadian Counselors and Psychotherapists Association, the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals, the Health Claims for Auto Insurance, and the Financial Services Regulatory Commission of Ontario. Joshua is familiar with treating many types of disorders including trauma, anxiety related disorders, depressive disorders, stress related disorders, and more clinical types of disorders such as bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, psychosis, and others. Joshua also helps those going through difficult life transitions such as LGBTQ2+, grief, couples therapy, and divorce. What makes Joshua different is his survival of the trauma of a near death experience and the depression and anxiety related to it. Joshua not only has the education but also the personal lived experience to help get you to the place where you want to be.
